Professor Uche Jack-Osimiri, LL.B ( London ), LL.M ( London ), BL, FCTI, FSLS, FSALS

was admitted as Solicitor in (1985). He joined teaching as Lecturer II in 1986, initially at Imo State University Okigwe (now ABSU), University of Ado-Ekiti (Head of Department of Private Law), Ebonyi State University Abakaliki (Pioneer Dean of Law) before relocating permanently to RSUST, Port Harcourt . His areas of research specialization are Property Law, Commercial Law, Economic crime, Taxation, Oil & Gas Natural resources, Clinical Legal Education, etc. He is a distinguished scholar, researcher with sterling records of sperformance:- the author of Modern Law of Landlord & Tenant (1994 & 2003), Fundamentals of Insurance Law (2001), Conveyancing & Land Transactions (2005) and over 80 scholarly publications in Nigeria , Britain , Australia , India , Zambia , Austria and NewZealand. His articles appear in authoritative journals of Financial crime, Money Laundering Control International, Professional Legal Education, Webb Legal Education Journals, International Bar Journal, OPEC Law Review, etc. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Property & Contemporary Law Journal, South-South Journal of Law and Multi-disciplinary Studies, International Journal of Tax Law, Fiscal Policies and Administrative Studies and other books. He is a Consultant to Joint Tax Board and serves as External Examiner to many Nigerian Universities. He served as a member of Law Review Commission that produced Laws of Rivers State 1999 – 2003 and member of Council of Legal Education, Accreditation Panel Faculties of Law Nigerian Universities (2004 – 2005). He served as Guest Professor to the following:- SLS Tax Laws, University of Shefffield England 2004, Strathclyde University of Glasgow Scotland 2005, Tax Research Network University of Edingbugh UK, Building Legal Clinic 2005 UK Centre for Legal Education University of Warwick, Australasian Law Teachers Association (ALTA) 2005:- Property Law and Compensation at University of Waikato Hamilton NewZealand (2005), Clinical Articled Legal Education at International Clinical Legal Education Conference 2005 hosted by the (Monash University Melbourne Australia co-sponsored by the University of Northumbria). He is also a member of Nigerian Bar Association, Nigeria Association of Law Teachers, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria , Society of Legal Scholars UK, Commonwealth Legal Education Association, Society of Advanced Legal Studies, International Bar Association, Australasian Tax Teachers Association, Canadian Tax Foundation etc. He is the Principal Partner of OSIMIRI-OSIMIRI & CO.
