INTERNATIONAL SECONDARY SCHOOL
It would have been more profitable to trace the history of International Secondary School to acquaint ourselves with the records of its successes and failures, in order to glance at the present to make the pathway clearer and the policy real for the future.
RSUST has joined the band of special Universities with special services. International Secondary School compliments other special services in this community. It is born to produce the “balanced mind” under one unique environment. Such a mind would be said to have been made in this community after passing through the DAY CARE, NURSERY, PRIMARY, SECONDARY AND THE UNIVERSITY Gate.
STAFF POSITION is outlined in the appendix. Requirements for recruitment is the same as prescribed by the Federal Ministry of Education. To be appointable here, one must have the aptitude for the job.
The administration of the school rests with the Principal, Vice Principal and the teachers with support from the Management Committee for policy matters.
The School Curriculum Corresponds with the National policy on Education. It is purely science oriented with bias for the arts. Arts, Science and the Vocational Studies are given the same emphasis.
The School calendar varies from year to year according to the events of the year. The School runs 3 terminal periods namely:
Sept/Oct. - Dec. 1st
Jan. - April 2nd
May - Aug. 3rd
The School runs (Mon-Fri.) eight (*) periods of forty minutes each with a forty munites break daily. The School finally closes by 2.20 p.m. every day.
